The modern yet rustic Hobbs Tavern opened in April 2014, with three business partners driving the complete renovation of the building and the creation of a new restaurant. On-site beer production for the brewpub also began in 2014, with Hobbs procuring a canning line and starting packaging and self-distribution in 2016. That same year, the Hobbs Team won a Bronze medal at the Great International Beer Festival for their “One Arm Farmhouse Ale.” In 2017, that same beer won silver. Continuing the tradition of “just making better beer every day,” the brewery began to outgrow its humble beginnings and made plans to expand.
In the fall of 2018, building and equipment installation for the relocation of the production and canning operations to a new 9,000 sq./ft production facility began, located 11.1 miles down RT 16. The new space features a 15 BBL brewhouse and the capacity to produce 15,000 barrels of beer. On October 31, 2020, the Tap Room opened to the public, marking a significant milestone in Hobbs Tavern's journey.
